Title: Validation Engineer Location: USA-Texas, Austin Technical contributor position in a pre-silicon verification group working on Intel?s future-generation ATOM based SOC design in a team that highly values strong technical contribution. The pre-silicon validation is being done in different levels of the processor, starting from block level and up to the full chip or architecture level, dealing with one or multiple threads. Due to the fast increasing complexity of Intel's processors, the logic correctness has become a significant limiter in the ability to bring products on time to the market. Thus, the challenge of developing new techniques for faster and more efficient verification before silicon has significantly increased. Behavioral traits for this position include: Strong written and verbal communication skills, Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills and be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team. In this position, you will be responsible for the pre-silicon functional validation of Atom Based SOC designs, design and implementation of functional verification environment (test bench). Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Being an expert in the relevant block(s) of microarchitecture and architecture - Developing state-of-the-art SW to find hard corner cases of the complex logic design, by implementing 'checkers' and random test generators - Developing excellent debug skills to find design bugs faster and to track their quality fix - Interacting closely with the architecture group as well as with the logic designers - Influencing definition, as well as implementation, assuring that these are being done in a manageable risk for effective validation You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum qualifications: - Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering - Minimum 3 years experience with logic design or analog design - Minimum 3 years experience with object oriented languages and scripting skills in PERL and assembly - Minimum 3 years experience with in software profiling tools for code coverage - Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship Preferred qualifications - 2 years experience with System Verilog test bench - 2 years experience with and Hardware emulation ![]()
